Hi, Jennifer!
I see that the first day of the Summer Leadership conference just after the WRRC annual conference ends. Phew! I hope you can join us for at least part of our conference. Registration for virtual participation is free. Registration for the in-person day (July 12) is only $60 through the end of the month, and there may be underwriting available through Extension ANR. Please contact Ethan Orr if you are interested. We’ve got a great lineup. Please check it out.
Are you familiar with the new group, Arizona Association of Women in Water & Agriculture? Meghan Scott, one of the founders of the group, will be a speaker at our closing (virtual) panel on July 14 at 11:00.
Hope you can join us!!
Best regards,
Sharon

Subject: [CED/CD/EAT] Summer Leadership Conference (formerly known as Women in Ag Conference) - July 14 & 15

Many of you have had the opportunity to attend the annual Women in Agriculture Conference. The conference has always been a great event and open to everyone who was interested in the sessions, not solely women involved in agriculture. This year, the committee hopes the simple name change, “The Summer Leadership Conference” will help to attract even more people.

I received the following promotional piece and the attached registration flyer and agenda from Christy Davis today and wanted to share them with you. GREAT NEWS: The conference pre-registration deadline has been extended beyond today without any increase in registration fees. MORE GREAT NEWS: If you would like to stay at the conference resort (the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park), there are still a few rooms available in the block set aside for conference attendees. However, after I click on the “send” button they might go quickly. Please refer to the attached documents and the following description from Christy for conference details.

The Summer Leadership Conference on July 14 and 15 at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Arizona is right around the corner! Hosted by the Women’s Leadership Committee, our theme this year is the “Ag State of Mind,” focusing on mental health and wellbeing. We feel that this theme gives us the ability to explore the many aspects of mental health and wellbeing that we, in agriculture, deal with when it comes to our daily lives.

Though most of the conference is on Friday, we hope that you join us Thursday afternoon for the pre-conference session by Kaila Anderson of LandLogic. Through true stories and practical concepts, Kaila Anderson shares her unique approach to training behavioral health professionals and peer support groups, connecting producers' mental health to their deep connection to their land.

Friday is a packed agenda with speakers, tailgate chats, and agriculture highlights from around the state. And don’t miss our keynote speaker Lesley Kelly as she shares her message about how one conversation can save a life. We know that mental health and wellness are not easy topics to discuss but we hope that by sharing these resources we can help get our members and friends through the tough times.

If you haven’t done so already, please visit the conference page: Summer Conference Website<https://u17703660.ct.sendgrid.net/ls/click?upn=v7T1VEMJUeu-2FMQhIy0XjdTW5fFm848-2BTn5-2F-2FlaNEVTE2CXTzlnDK2jOS0uBpDFEe0x2LsVg5qPeBdG-2FgbQ8B14hTgMqGK5RIkXv6Gik1-2F0Kl1TWl8EC25kK0IJsPUoa3yAQK-2FvSg2NpjgML22ULIsjZbXojl6KVCO1XKnNFvTe98it0L608RbHgIvGd8lbfOje-2BGx7HVAV3fR4eBG4BLHQ-3D-3DDBrZ_bSgd73rQUr4Jc3spDdzcj-2FiwJwcnGS0-2FvPJNBGaIGdw-2Bg6QxxhMEdM4DvgidldUsLjYuaw-2FNI7hcRkhVb8ArAdVThjkwR2qCcTza8MzYGL0WFlxiogsMIzat8tKTXvUp-2BGjvgG8eJ9-2BbMa4NGvoFCDbq5nC1O9XEcm4dLb1v2b1vEkF5G81QO5Fw607foLJa-2FL2OF45xW8vS4CwC9YvAU-2BExVYK0ez-2BVbat8GNXon62CIqxf3zsVHRvam-2B1ViSn3O7lrx7LvbnhGpg7b6K6AP3pnKKx3OCwFN1Qte7FFzlP4YQefoqXs5REMQt2R0H9CO2u5iEGinEwo8jr6W4yToQ-3D-3D>
