Dear Colleague,

If you're a dean, a provost, or a department chair at a university, you know this has been a challenging time for our institutions.

The department chair is at the center of nearly everything that gets done, from menial daily tasks to great innovations in education and research. Yet in many cases, chairs receive the bare minimum of essential support needed for professional development and training.
