Dear Directors,

A couple of items came up at the EC meeting that I want to share with you and ask that you pass them on.


  1.  When talking with reporters, please be sure to stick to your area of expertise and the main subject of the interview.  Often reporters might ask Extension faculty/staff to comment on items/issues unrelated to your expertise (such as the current UA face covering policy).  The best practice is simply not to answer or, in the case of the face coverings, refer them to the President's Office.  If you are contacted by a reporter and want some tips, contact Dominic.  He can help you stick to the subject at hand.



  1.  If you have an issue you believe requires legal advice from the UA Office of General Counsel, please be sure first to contact me, and I will contact VP Burgess and Jeff Ratje (see the attached memo from September 2020).
