CEDs,
I am approving all phase transition requests that have been submitted for review this week.
If you did not submit a request, it is assumed that you are holding your unit at the current phase level for the next two weeks.
To further clarify and reinforce key points from previous discussions, please continue in all counties to reinforce the requirement for facemasks, social distancing, and encourage frequent hand washing. The provision of the necessary resources (facemasks, hand sanitizer, access to hand-washing areas, etc.) will continue.
For events where Extension has a presence, but is not hosting, as Extension personnel from any of our programs are representing the CES, our policies for best public health practices, that are designed to keep stakeholders and CES personnel safe, must be followed by CES personnel to the best of their ability.
Also, please be sure you are communicating all phase transition steps and the associated parameters to the Extension personnel and Directors based on the Arizona Experiment Station (AES) sites in your county. Your coordination with those AES units in your counties is important and a consistent part of your CED duties.
I am confident that you are all aware of these points, so I offer these comments as a matter of clarity and reinforcement. I would expect the likely need for you to do the same for the personnel in your units as well.
Your cooperation and good management in this process is much appreciated.
Best regards,
Jeff
