[CED/CD/EAT] Notices of Appointments (contracts)

Academic and Extension Leaders,

Notices of Appointment (NOAs), also commonly referred to as annual employment contracts, are sent to appointed professionals (which include faculty titles) at the beginning of the fiscal or academic year.  Due to questions raised by faculty in other colleges regarding the Furlough and Furlough-based Salary Reduction programs, UA Human Resources reviewed the language in the contracts.  Pending the outcome of this review, I placed a hold on the distribution of the NOAs within ALVSCE.

I received word today that UA Human Resources will release a memo either today or tomorrow, which clarifies the language in the NOAs.  Therefore, I have authorized the distribution of the NOAs.

Appointed professionals must review the NOAs, and if accurate and acceptable,  must accept as they have done in prior years.  If you or the appointed professionals in your unit have questions or find inaccurate information, please first work with the business officer in your unit to address or correct the concerns.  Jean McLain is also available if there are faculty concerns.
