Subject: Search & Screen (S/S) Committees for Extension Positions in Academic Units

Agriculture & Natural Resources (ANR) Academic Unit Heads,

Please include Ethan Orr, Extension Associate Director for ANR programs, with the S/S process for any Cooperative Extension faculty positions in your unit.

The objective of this would be for Ethan to engage in the process with the committee as appropriate, depending on the nature of the S/S committee, essentially as an "ex-officio" participant in the screening, initial reviews, and development of the committee's final recommendation to the unit head.

The intention is not to steer the direction of the S/S process but rather to make sure Extension objectives with regard to the position are consistently adhered to.
