[CED/CD/EAT] Annual performance appraisals for University and Classified Staff

UArizona policies require that all employees receive an annual performance appraisal.  It is also Vice President Burgess's expectation that this occur.  Rather than auditing for this (as was done in the past few years), I ask you as organizational leaders to ensure this happens for all employees within your unit.

Coaching and the interest shown by a supervisor are key to the engagement of our employees.  The time you invest in listening and providing meaningful and constructive feedback throughout the year, but also on performance appraisals, makes our organization a place where people want to work.

If the University requires us to implement salary adjustments, current APRs will be required.  Please take note of the ALVSCE policy<https://compass.arizona.edu/dbs/policies/merit-increase-eligibility-aprs> that prohibits supervisors and unit heads from receiving a salary adjustment if reports are ineligible for an adjustment because they have not received a recent annual performance appraisal.
