[CED/CD/EAT] URGENT: childcare memo to Provost, response due Aug 14 by 5pm

Samantha Sowerby and I have been working with central administrative offices to highlight and address the needs of employee-parents.  A faculty and staff survey, but more importantly, individual stories from our colleagues, are highly compelling.

Attached is a memo to Provost Folks identifying specific and actionable steps the university can take that support our people, with our division as an ally in this effort.  We would like to send it on behalf of the leadership of ALVSCE.  A women's faculty group of about 550 members sent a similar letter to President Robbins on Monday of this week, who Sam and I are working with also.

No later than Friday, August 14 at 5pm, please let me know if you do NOT support this memo in your role as a leader of ALVSCE or if you would prefer to be removed as a signer.  Not responding is assumed to be consent.
