Subject: Release and Furloughs

HR just formally said that the University Release timesheet code will expire May 11 for all employees.  The use of this code gave full pay for no work.

For the first two pay periods, ALVSCE employees used 900 hours of University Release.  I notified business leaders last week to be creative with work assignments and minimize the use of the University Release timesheet.  People without work assignments and who don't have personal leave or sick leave will go unpaid for the hours they cannot work remotely.

HR is updating the furlough website tonight with answers to questions.
