Dear Administrators,

We want to reassure everyone that the current 2019-2020 review of dossiers for the faculty promotion and tenure process is not impacted by the campus memo for pause on hiring and promotion related to  COVID-19.

In fact, we are pleased to confirm that we are on track for promotion and tenure review decisions to be delivered on our regularly scheduled date for the last day in April on Thursday April 30th. Our university committees are dedicated to maintaining their planned review schedule.

We are also pleased to let you know that we have had a very positive response to the streamlining of the process to request a promotion clock delay due to COVID-19. There are over 78 requests submitted already. We will send out a memo of approval to faculty, department heads, and deans within 30 days after the request is submitted.
