Hi Cathy,

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, the search committee will be comprised of people knowing what to look for in the candidates and their match to the role. As mentioned on the call yesterday, there is a tremendous need within the organization for both outputs - developing new, quality content and translating (or trans-creating) current and "in-the-works" content. We will be putting particular focus on prioritizing and capturing the best ROI. And thank you for your suggestion of adding an example in their translation work.

Thank you,
Dominic

I'm not sure who I am supposed to be communicating with regarding the Bilingual (Spanish) Content Writer position, but since it was attached to this email here goes.

  * There are a number of words/phrases included in the opening paragraph that sound like jargon or have unclear meaning (such as "breakthrough" web copy and "multimedia storytelling experiences"). My concern with these is only that whoever is on the search committee will need to know what these things are in order to know if you're looking at candidates who are able to deliver them.
  * My larger concern is that this position seems more focused on creation of new Spanish content rather than translation, which is what I heard was going to be the focus when we hired someone when we met in August at the CED meeting. While translation is still in the position description, it seems like it's downplayed in this version.
  * Under minimum qualifications I would suggest including experience in translation - and in the search process would hope to find candidates that have examples in their portfolios of things they have done.

Anyway - there's my two cents. Cathy
