Folks,
I've had several calls about the Department of Public Safety for the fingerprint cards. Here are the most common questions with the answers:

* What is the fee: DPS charges a volunteer $65, and the fingerprint processor charges $7.95 for a total of $72.95.

* Can the county set up an account for volunteers to use: No, the option to set up an account is not available to county offices.

* What if we want to pay for our volunteers: If you want to subsidize the fee, you can process reimbursement to the volunteer, or they can do the electronic portion of the application in your office and you can use a pCARD to pay the fee.

* What happens after the electronic portion of the application is finished? The volunteer will go to a print processing site to have the electronic prints taken and submitted to DPS. A map of the potential sites is available here:

There are answers to additional questions at this site: https://www.azdps.gov/services/public/fingerprint .
