Home owners offered webinar on well system components
vital to water quality

A free webinar on water well system components that protect water quality and the importance of maintaining them is being offered by the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) August 8 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time (10 a.m. CT, 9 a.m. MT, and 8 a.m. PT).

This webinar describes water well system components that protect water from certain harmful contaminants—and how well owners can stay on top of related maintenance. Key well system components including the well casing, well cap, pitless adapter, and well screen protect water quality, and their maintenance is key to preserving water quality.

The presenter is Denis Crayon, a water well system professional and an NGWA director. To register, go to www.WellOwner.org<http://NGWA.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT02ODIzNDA1JnA9MSZ1PTEwODI2NjAwMTYmbGk9NDY0Mjc3MjA/index.html>, and click on “Lessons and Webinars” and then “Well Owner Webinars.”

Nearly 40 million Americans rely on drinking water from privately owned wells. The well owner is responsible for ongoing monitoring of water quality. NGWA is providing the webinars with the support of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the assistance of the Rural Community Assistance Partnership.
