Subject: FAVACA- Seeking Aloe Vera Expert
Dear Dr. Jeffrey Silvertooth:
My name is Sachi Delacruz and I am the Programming Coordinator of a small nonprofit organization called the Florida Association for Volunteer Action in the Caribbean and Americas (FAVACA). FAVACA sources professionals to provide training and/or technical assistance to nonprofit organizations, grassroots groups, and government ministries in the Caribbean and Americas. FAVACA sources professionals in a variety of fields such as agriculture, business, health, education and a variety of other areas and these expert professionals provide short-term trainings.
FAVACA is currently searching for a Farm Advisor for Aloe Vera to travel to the country of Guatemala and provide training and technical assistance over the period of 2-3 weeks. FAVACA will provide for the expenses for this volunteer assignment and coordinate the entire project with the expert and the partner organization, ensuring a well-developed scope of work is developed and feasible to accomplish in a short-term training. FAVACA staff will then arrange all the logistics for the expert's travels to Guatemala, pay for hotel, airfare, meals, travel insurance, translator, and other expenses associated with this project. Attached you will find more information about who FAVACA is and the specifics we have on the Aloe project in Guatemala.
I was hoping that you might know or recommend of someone who might be interested in this project. As of now, the time range for the volunteer visit is a minimum of 14 days including travel and the partner hopes to have someone in the next few months.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Sachi Delacruz
