[CED] Misuse of University Assets Policy

The general phrase "doing right" means nurturing the public trust even when no one is watching.  Given our oversized public presence in the community, we are under significant oversight and scrutiny all the time.  It is beneficial from time-to-time to remind ourselves of this responsibility.

The Misuse of University Assets Policy restricts the use of University assets to UA business purposes only (full policy at link below).  Despite what is a fairly straight forward and common sense policy, reality often creates opportunities that challenge our implementation of the policy.  When in doubt, please don't hesitate to consult with the experts at the UA or within CALS Administrative Services.

University resources are broadly defined as employee and volunteer time, physical and capital assets, and financial assets.

Prevention of misuse of University assets is our primary goal; but self-identification and correction of misuse is an important secondary responsibility.

Thank you for the work you are doing, and for your attention to the appropriate use of public resources.
