Hi,

Regarding the focus group review of the spreadsheet report I sent out this
morning, it should be perceived to still be in draft format. We are still
awaiting input from two counties so the report is not finalized and not
ready to be sent out for the mail out survey. That is supposed to be done by
Dec. 15th. We also want to get CED input to the questions for the mail out
survey. The CEDs are to do that with their agents. I would suggest that you
not distribute the written format of the report to stakeholders in its
current format. It would be best to share it verbally until it is finished.
Alternately, you could project the spreadsheet results if you are meeting
with your Advisory Boards. You should tell them that the report is still in
draft form and being finalized for the mail out, interview, and web based
surveys. Since your Advisory Boards will most likely be receiving the mail
our survey, I suggest you not post the ranking scores if you project the
results.

As you receive input from your agents, they should not view their job as a
complete overhaul of the questions by ignoring the focus group results. With
your leadership, they should look at the Top 3 Ranking sheet (color coded)
that has each county's input and compare the color coded items to the
questions generated in the Focus Group Ranking worksheet. We really don't
want to change what the focus groups come up with, just make sure that the
questions we send out for the mail out survey accurately capture the
consolidated input from the counties. Some terminology may need to be
tweaked. For example, the CEDs mentioned that "sustainability" may have
different meanings to different audiences. Each CED will manage the input
received from agents and forward appropriate suggestions to the Visioning
Committee.

We thank you so much for your interest and input for the stakeholder survey
we expect to send out in early January. Each county will do that survey
after we finalize the survey with CED input and vet the survey with
Evaluation experts within our University. We discussed a variety of methods
for the survey such as one that could be accessed with a smart phone (like
using our new website; interviewing underserved audiences for the survey
(e.g. SNAP-ED); social media, etc. Linda Houtkooper is checking to see if we
have any human subjects concerns to meet. I would guess not for the
anonymous surveys but if we do any person to person interviews it might be a
concern. The survey will have the participant select their top 3 choices
within each goal and will have a space for write in comments.

Thanks,
