Hi,
After a careful review by Ed Martin and myself, here is the corrected
Visioning file that needs evaluating by your agents for appropriate language
in the priority statements. There were 3 statements that got left off the
priority ranking sheet. I also found that Goal 2, Priority 1 for Pinal
County on the color coded spreadsheet was accidentally overwrote on the
version I sent you last. I also failed to change the scale for scoring in
the original version. I proofed all the scores and corrected a few mistakes.
Instructions:
1. Have faculty look at the color coded spreadsheet (Focus Group Top 3 Co.
Rankings) where commonalities are identified for program priorities. Common
colors means that the priorities were grouped together for one statement. If
a cell is white, it is a single observation and did not make it to the final
rankings. Some counties may have more than one priority listed for one of
the rankings; this was due to a tie vote.
2. Faculty should compare the color coded common statements to statments on
the Focus Group Meeting Ranking worksheet and see if the statements
accurately reflect the input received from the focus groups. We don't want
to change the content we received from focus groups just make sure that we
are saying what they said. Also, have faculty look for words that may elicit
a strong negative response in audiences. If they find one of these words,
they should suggest an alternative.
3. Forward your input from your faculty to the Visioning committee (cc line)
by the end of December.
4. Remember that this spreadsheet is still in draft form and should not be
distributed to clientele. We will be receiving input from two other counties
in mid December. We want to send out the mailout survey in January after
receiving your input. The mailout survey will not have scores attached and
will have a place for a write in response for each goal.
We really don't want to change what the focus groups come up with, just make
sure that the questions we send out for the mail out survey accurately
captures the consolidated input from the counties. Each CED will manage the
input received from agents and forward appropriate suggestions to the
Visioning Committee.
Thanks,
Jim Sprinkle
