The Maricopa County Cooperative Extension publication "Deciduous Fruits and
Nuts for the Low Desert " at
http://cals.arizona.edu/pubs/garden/az1269/
recommends Castlebrite, Gold Kist, Katy, Modesto, Patterson, and Royal Rosa.
In my experience, apricots in general require longer winter chill than
normal in our version of the low desert but last winter and this winter have
been cooler so the yield should be better. I grew Gold Kist quite a few
years ago but the yield was poor and unpredictable. But it's beautiful
tree.
