Subject: Request for Renewal Proposals, Submission Format Guidelines and Submission Deadline for 2026 Calendar Year Research
The Arizona Cotton Growers Association State Support Committee is requesting research proposals for the 2026 funding year (Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2026), under the Cotton Incorporated State Support Program to benefit the Arizona Cotton Industry. For the 2026 funding year, the committee will only consider renewal proposals. Funding for new projects will not be available in this cycle.

Please note the deadline for receipt of proposals is 5pm (close of business day) on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. This is a firm deadline. No extensions will be granted due to the need to reproduce proposals, distribute them to the committee, and allow time for review prior to the Committee meeting. The ACGA State Support Committee is requesting that finished proposals be submitted by mail or by e-mailing an electronic copy in the form of a PDF. Electronic copies are preferred and can be sent to jrohner at azcottongrowers.com<mailto:jrohner at azcottongrowers.com>.

Research Priorities: Water will always to be a top priority of our industry, additional research topics thought to be most important to the Arizona cotton industry at this time. They are in order of ranking:
1.       Herbicide Resistance Management
2.       Cotton Production
3.       Insect Control
4.       Seed Vigor & Viability
5.       Soil Health
*The Committee will also entertain proposals that do not pertain to the priorities above*

Format: The Association further requests that all proposals be submitted on no more than two pages with the below information, see attached RFP Format example for reference.
·       Research Project Title
·       Name of Researcher(s)
·       Project Duration
·       Total Amount Requested
·       Description of Research Project
·       Objectives of Research
·       Significance of Research to Az Cotton Industry
·       Plan of Work
·       Details of Budget Request with Narrative
Presentation: The presentation of projects to the Committee is scheduled for Thursday, September 11th at the Tempe Office at 10am. All presenters will be invited to a roundtable presentation, with a maximum of ten minutes for each presentation, and questions only from Committee Members. Technology will be available, presentations can be emailed in advance for display, hard copy proposals will be prepared for the Committee by ACGA.
