Dear Colleagues,

I am thrilled to announce that, effective today, August 1, Dr. Jonathan Chorover has agreed to serve as Interim Associate Vice President for Research for the Division of Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension/Associate Dean for Research for the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences,.

Jon is already well known to many of you, as he has been a college and university leader in one capacity or another for over two decades. Since 2012, under his leadership our Department of Environmental Science has transformed.

I intend to launch a search for the next Associate Vice President for Research and Associate Dean for Research as soon as possible, which is at the beginning of the fall semester. I expect this search to be completed within a semester.

I am confident that Jon will be an excellent leader for our research mission, and I appreciate his service very much.

Regards,
Shane
