UA Vaccination Volunteer Request and Registration Link

[Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension Weekly Bulletin]

The College of Public Health is recruiting volunteers for the UA Point of Delivery (POD) for the COVID-19 Vaccine, and they've asked us to share the info below with ALVSCE faculty and staff who live in Pima County.  Employees who want to volunteer should check with their supervisor if interested in doing so during normal worktime.

Volunteer opportunities are set to begin on January 25th; and after registering using the link below, we will reach out with scheduling information.  This will be a large endeavor, as we are partnering with Pima County Health Department to help vaccinate the Tucson community.  We are also asking for a time commitment of 36 hours from volunteers who are at the PODs to help us increase efficiency.  We are looking to fulfill the following positions:
*         Various Non-Medical Volunteers (greeters, screening, runners, crowd control, etc.)
*         Pharmacists (Including 3rd and 4th year students)
*         MDs and NPs
*         Nurses (Including 3rd and 4th year students)
*         Medical Assistants
*         Nurse Assistants
*         Health & Wellness Ambassadors

Shifts are currently M-F for 6 hours (7am-1pm or 12pm-6pm) and Saturday/Sundays for 9 hours (8:30am-5:30pm) with a one hour lunch.
