School Closures

[Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension Weekly Bulletin]

Everyone,



Today Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman announced that all Arizona public schools are closing at least through Friday, March 27.



School closures add further challenges and complications for very many of you. Your work-from-home plans will now need to accommodate your need to look after your own children. I suspect that many of you, if not everyone, was considering how you’d deal with this eventuality anyway.



Please remember that this will be a long haul; all that you can do is all that you can do. You can’t achieve miracles and you need to keep yourself healthy. This is a very stressful time and so please know that every appointed administrator in our enterprise will work with you consistent with our enduring values as you adapt to this next challenge.



I expect we will have some specific guidance from the UA coming soon also.
