In this email you’ll find an overview of the CALES Spring 2025 Graduation Convocation processes so you can assist graduating students this semester! Thank you in advance for reading this lengthy email.

Overview of CALES Graduation Celebrations:
CALES Student Sendoff
Friday, May 16, 2025
10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Old Main Lawn

  *   Optional event where students can jumpstart the graduation celebration!
  *   All students graduating in CALES are welcome (ugrad & grad)
  *   RSVP required; no regalia required

CALES Graduate Student (MS/PhD) Spring Convocation
Thursday, May 15, 2025
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Fred Fox School of Music (Crowder Hall)

  *   RSVP required & regalia required to participate

CALES Undergraduate Student (BA/BS) Spring Convocation
Saturday, May 17, 2025
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
McKale Memorial Center

  *   RSVP required & regalia required to participate

RSVP Information:
RSVPs are required for all graduation celebration events. There are separate RSVP forms for each event. RSVP forms are open now through Sunday, May 4 at 11:59 pm (AZ time).

Ticket Information:
Crowder Hall (MS/PhD) requires tickets for all guests (not graduating students). Students will report their ticketing needs when they RSVP. Students are allotted four guests. Crowder Hall is an intimate venue.

McKale (BA/BS) does not require tickets for guests. There is no limit on the number of guests per student.

Request to Participate:
The Request to Participate form is ONLY to be completed by students who are not officially scheduled to graduate in May 2025. (Example: if a student is scheduled to graduate in December 2025 but wants to walk in May 2025.) This form lets us know their information to add to communications and the digital program.

This form will close on Sunday, April 27 at 11:59 pm (AZ time). More information on this process can be found on the website.

Student Communications:
All students who are eligible to graduate (plus, the ones who complete the Request to Participate form), will receive the Graduation Newsletter. This newsletter will be sent multiple times prior to our celebrations with information about RSVPs, event expectations, and need-to-knows.

Staff Volunteer Information:
We need your support to make graduation celebrations a success! We kindly ask that at least one representative is present from your unit to assist on graduation day. Please sign-up to volunteer by Sunday, May 4 at 11:59 pm.<https://forms.office.com/r/xvPwyJjAHq>

Student Speakers:
We are in search of student speakers for all graduation events! Do you know a spectacular undergraduate or graduate student who wants to share their story at these milestone events?
