Summer Tuition Rate Adjustments - Key Message for Campus Partners

The University of Arizona is committed to helping students stay on track toward graduation through affordable summer tuition rates. Arizona resident undergraduate tuition remains unchanged at $482 per credit, a 5% reduction compared to the fall and spring semesters. For non-resident undergraduates, we will now offer summer tuition at $850 per credit, which is approximately 50% less than the fall and spring semesters.

For resident and non-resident graduate students, summer tuition will be $530 per credit and $945 per credit, respectively, which is approximately 50% less than the fall and spring semesters.

Summer Tuition Rate Information

For the 2025 summer sessions:

  * Resident undergraduate students will pay $482 per credit hour, no increase from previous summers and reflecting a 5% reduction compared to their fall/spring semester rates.

  * Non-resident undergraduate students will pay $850 per credit hour, a 50% reduction (approximately 72% in previous summers) compared to their fall/spring semester rates.

  * Resident graduate students will pay $530 per credit hour, an approximately 50% reduction compared to their fall/spring semester rates.

  * Non-resident graduate students will pay $945 per credit hour, an approximately 50% discount (approximately 75% in previous summers) compared to their fall/spring semester rates.

  * Students can use the university’s Tuition Calculator<https://tuitioncalculator.fso.arizona.edu/#/>, which will have been updated with the new rates for the summer sessions (the rates will be loaded into the Bursar system), to calculate and see their summer tuition costs and pay during registration.

Background Messaging

  * This university is committed to student success and creates opportunities for students to pursue their academic goals while experiencing the vibrant learning environment of the U of A campus.

  * Arizona resident students, undergraduate and graduate alike, will continue to benefit from the same discounted tuition rate they previously received for the summer sessions.

  * In previous years, non-resident students would benefit from the same tuition cost/fee (i.e., dollar amount) as resident students during the summer sessions, resulting in significantly discounted rates for non-residents (approximately 73%) compared to Arizona resident students.

  * Starting this summer, resident summer tuition rates will no longer be applied to non-resident students (undergraduate and graduate alike). However, the university will continue to offer significant discounts to non-resident students, providing an attractive incentive for them to take classes during the summer sessions.

  * This approach will continue to provide an incentive for non-resident students to register for classes over the summer.
