Would you pleae share these three upcoming opportunities with undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs?
* For All Audiences: The 16th annual BIO5/BIOSA FREE Student-Industry Networking Event takes place on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024. It starts at 1:00 PM with a virtual session on ‘Career and Entrepreneurship Resources’, followed at 2:30 PM with a virtual panel of company representatives that will speak about ‘Current Hiring Trends in the Life Science Industry’, to be followed at 4:00 PM by the in-person Student Industry Networking Event in the BIO5 Institute/TW Keating Building north of Speedway. * For Graduate Students and Postdocs: Bayer Crop Science has opened its 2024 FREE Industry Mentorship Program for graduate students and postdocs from varying backgrounds who are interested in mentoring by an industry professional in the plant science/crop production field at Bayer, Inc. Further info about this 1-yr mentoring program can be gleaned from the enclosed flyer. There will be an online info session this coming Friday, January 26th (see info in flyer attached). Applications for a Bayer mentorship can be submitted through https://forms.office.com/e/ZfVCiWx8sg until 5 PM on February 9th, 2024.
* For Graduate Students and Postdocs: The BIO5 Institute, in partnership with the Data Science Institute and the UA Libraries is offering a FREE Computational Skills Workshop on the February 17th/18th weekend. The workshop targets graduate students, postdocs, technicians, and faculty; undergraduate students can be admitted if space is available. Learn the foundational skills necessary to be productive in small research teams, including: navigating the command line/Unix, programming in R, and version control with git/GitHub.
