[Agvisors] 2/13 Agvisors Meeting with Dial-the-Dean information

Greetings Agvisors:

Hope your week is ending well. At the Tuesday 2/13 Agvisors meeting we will have Taylor Grogg join us at 10am to provide insights from the CALES budget committee. Per her email below she highly recommends we join the Dial-the-Dean<https://view.comms.arizona.edu/?qs=da04d91b93b60d45f24c6ae96a2f548afbf97d46ec613c760b55019d2d7cabcf9435d659c17bd7298ea5858d84edc650c7a55e912069165ce2caa87717c4fe2618d310ba5bd88c582f31a893844e8a07> (DTD) that starts at 9am also on Tuesday.  We have reserved Saguaro Hall 219 starting at 9am for those interested in joining the DTD from there.  The Agvisors meeting will start at 9:30am and plan to finish listening to the Dial-the-Dean.

Taylor also shared the initial round of recommendations that the CALES budget group put forth to the Dean, Faculty Council, and Staff Council for reference.  Further content below and attached.

Hi Katie,

Thanks for reaching out. I am not sure if you saw the up coming Dial-the-Dean announcement for the 13th from 9a-10a but it is going to be the leaders of Faculty Council, Staff Council, Jeff Ratje, and Dean Burgess discussing "rumors and trumors" regarding CALES budget and finances. I would highly recommend that the staff listen to this and even submit questions for the panel to answer. I would be more than happy to supplement the conversation with additional information I have from my own team's work in CALES as well as from my role on the Budget Working Group after the Dial-the-Dean.

Lastly, I have attached the initial round of recommendations that the CALES budget group put forth to the Dean, Faculty Council, and Staff Council. Please feel free to share with your team as it gives an understanding of what some of the conversations have been around the current financial situation.  Note, these are simply the groups recommendations and they have not been approved or enforced.
