[Agvisors] CALES Annual Undergraduate Student Experience Survey

Good morning, Agvisors!

We are launching the CALES Annual Undergraduate Student Experience Survey tomorrow. Your assistance in promoting this important student voice tool is needed and greatly appreciated!

Students will get an email from CALES with the link, but hearing from YOU makes all the difference. The survey is anonymous and testing by students is showing it takes anywhere between 10-20 minutes to complete it. Students who complete the survey will have the opportunity to go to a separate survey to enter a raffle to win one of six prize bundles. This will ensure that their responses are anonymous. Prize bundles and some imagery are below. We will mail the prizes to any students not located in Tucson over the summer.

Also below is a sample email that you can send to your students. I am also attaching a flier that we would like each of you to print and post in the student spaces in your building as well as your office. A PPT slide is also attached so that you can post it in your D2L announcements, in classes, etc. Please also encourage your faculty members to promote this to students in their classes. The PPT slide is easily insertable into their slide decks for class as students enter the classroom. If you oversee your major/department's social media, please keep an eye out for what we are posting on CALES social media so that you can simply share what we are sharing!

Our goal is to have at least 775 CALES students take the survey this year. This gives us a strong response rate for which we can learn from our students, celebrate our success, and take action to continue to improve our services to our students. We need your help to get there!

If you are curious about what is on the survey, please let me know. To be able to trust the data, we do not want staff clicking on the link and taking the survey. Since it is anonymous, we would have no way to know which responses to clean out!

Here is a high-level overview of what is covered:

  *   Major discovery and changes
  *   Modality preferences and accessibility
  *   Academic Advising
  *   Digital engagement (websites, social media, newsletters, etc.)
  *   Student services such as the CALES Career Center, Wellness services, Learning Lab, CALES Pulse, and more!
  *   General student support and satisfaction

I will be monitoring response rates from majors and will let you know if we are seeing low numbers so that you can continue to signal boost.
