[Agvisors] FW: Late Change Petition Update

Greetings Agvisors:

Starting this Spring 2022 term the Registrars will enforce the late change petition deadlines (based on sessions within a term).  Refer to message below from Associate Registrar Michael Davenport. We’ll talk further about the extenuating circumstance component at the Agvisors meeting on 3/8.

Quick summary of the deadlines this Spring 2022 term:

  *   2/23 for 7 week 1
  *   4/12 for regular full term
  *   4/25 for 7 week 2

Hello –

It is hard to believe we are almost halfway through the Spring 2022 term. I hope preparation for summer and fall enrollment is going well for you and your teams.

I wanted to provide an update regarding late change petitions. In Spring 2020, the decision was made to allow students to submit late change petitions past the deadline as a result of the impacts of Covid-19. This practice continued through Fall/Winter 2021. Effective Spring 2022, we will no longer accept late change petitions after the deadline. Any petition submitted by a student after the deadline will be denied by the Office of the Registrar.

I understand there are times when colleges and academic units may support a student’s request to withdraw from a class after the late change petition deadline. In these situations, when extenuating circumstances exist and the college/academic unit supports the request, an administrative change of schedule request may be submitted by the advising director for review by our office.
