[Agvisors] May 2021 Graduation Update

Hello Agvisors: Today, I'll share the message below with graduating students; I wanted to give you all a heads up first. We hope to know the date/time of the CALS ceremony by next week. I'll share that information as soon as it's known.

Also, if your unit is considering a virtual graduation event please let me know - even if you're in the very early planning stage. There may be an opportunity to share student-submitted assets (e.g. pictures, thank you messages, etc) and, in doing so, hopefully reduce student confusion as to where their submitted information will appear. Thank you!

May 2021 Graduation Update

"The University of Arizona will celebrate the Class of 2021 with a series of in-person, graduate-only ceremonies between May 11 and May 18. We will continue to monitor health conditions; please remain flexible. Per President Robbins' statement: These student-only ceremonies will look different from traditional celebrations prior to COVID-19, combining elements of convocations and commencement."

This means there will one in-person graduation ceremony* - a combination college and university celebration. Details and updates will be posted here: commencement.arizona.edu <https://commencement.arizona.edu/>

In-person graduation celebration:

  *   Multiple Ceremonies: Hosted on campus Tuesday, May 11 - Tuesday, May 18.
  *   Students Only: All ceremonies will be streamed live and recorded.
  *   RSVP Required: RSVPs will open the 1st week in April. Instructions will be sent to students at their CatMail address.

*Smaller virtual events may also occur (e.g. the Honors College, student centers, academic units).
