Experiencing Financial Hardship?

The Richard H. Tyler Student Emergency Fund is intended to cover temporary costs that may hinder a student from succeeding academically or from meeting their basic needs.   *   RISE leaders are trained by professional mental health staff to provide Psychological First Aid
  *   RISE leaders get to provide both individual and group emotional support sessions for other students
Benefits:

  *   Receive training in how to provide Psychological First Aid
  *   Gain real-world experience in in the mental health field and learn transferable skills
  *   Through this program RISE leaders complete a micro-internship - a great resume builder!
Commitment:

  *   Complete 2 initial trainings on providing Psychological First Aid
  *   Provide virtual/Zoom Psychological First Aid sessions 2-3 hours/week for the Fall semester
  *   A desire to learn and support others is essential but previous related experience is NOT required

  *   Fall and Winter 2021 graduates: Apply for graduation by September 1 (there's a $50.00 application fee).
  *   Applications will be accepted after the 9/1 deadline, however an additional $50.00 Late Candidacy Application fee will be assessed per late application.
