Danielle,

The 3 EWRE students on the tab are each graduating seniors and aren't enrolling in a future term as an undergrad.  One risk value is due to international student status, the other two risk values indicated are:
All Active Enrollment Holds (Documents on checklist)
All Active Enrollment Holds (Documents on checklist)
On these 2 EWRE students with the above risk value, it is specific to effective term Spring 2021, because they both are admitted to our graduate degree program.  I think in future reports, if possible, perhaps adding the effective term for the holds would be helpful.  Another idea would be to add the EGT term as a criteria to the report, so that we might be able to filter for those intending to complete their degree and not planning on returning for a future semester.

Also, there is not a tab for ABEM students, however, there are ABEM students in the last tab "enrollment holds".  I reached out to those ABEM students returning that are on that tab, but I am curious why the ABEM students weren't separated out?  Was I not supposed to contact them?  Each of the ABEM students still have the risk value indicated on the report, on their Student Center, with one being a graduating senior this Spring.

Hello everyone,

Great questions! The students on the list have an enrollment hold. If you look on the sheet, column F (risk_value) and expand it out, you will see what the hold or holds are.

The report is a slightly filtered report from UAnalytics in the Strategic Advising Dashboard – Factor Report tab.  Since this is a pulled report, students may have cleared their reports prior to the report being run, though all the ones I spot checked were still accurate.

If you are still seeing a discrepancy, please let me know and I will dig into it so that I have a more accurate report for the next and future pulls.

Thanks for sending this info and template.  Do we have a link to the priority registration schedule dates?  The link in the template for "priority registration" takes us to the general dates & deadlines but nothing I can see on that page that provides the registration dates, now that Registrar has updated their website.

Summer registration begins April 6, but that is all I can find.

Hello Agvisors -

As soon as you have a chance before the weekend, each advisor can reach out, via mail merge, to the students that have a hold that will block their priority registration.  In the attached spreadsheet, there is a tab for each major.  The attached word document can be the foundation of your mail merge email.  You are welcome to add your traditional email signature to the bottom of the word document and adjust greetings, etc. to make it sound like your voice.

I am more than happy to help anyone in sending out the mail merge to your students.

Here are instructors for sending it out:

  1.  Save both attached documents to your computer.
  2.  Open the “Hold Mail Merge Email3.5.20” document and add your email signature.  Make any changes you’d like to make it sound more like you.
  3.  Click on “Mailings: [cid:image006.png at 01D5F306.AF3A3B00]
  4.  Working your way left to right along the Mailings options, click on “Start Mail Merge”, then select “Email Messages”
  5.  Working your way left to right along the Mailings options, click on “Select Recipients”, then select “Use an Existing List”
  6.  Find the “Enrollment Holds 3.4.2020” file from your computer where you saved it.
  7.  Select the spreadsheet tab with your major.
  8.  Working your way left to right along the Mailings options, further down the line, click on “Preview Results” to see how the email will display to students
  9.  You can also scroll through the emails by using the arrows to double check. I like to double check that it intends to send the same amount of emails that are in the spreadsheet to make sure the correct tab was selected.

  1.  Working your way left to right along the Mailings options, click on “Finish & Merge” (should be last option), and select “Send Email Messages”
  2.  A “Merge to E-mail” box will pop up; you’ll need to select “Email” from the drop-down options under “To:”, and you’ll need to add something to the Subject Line (something like “Hold on UAccess Will Prohibit Priority Registration”, but you can do whatever you want)
  3.  Click “OK” to send it!

I will run the report again and provide an updated “reminder” template and list for you all the week before priority reg.
