Based on feedback from some unit heads it seems this message should have included you - not at all surprising to me!

If you have students you think would be a good fit for the Deans’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Council, please feel free to directly send me nominations. You can also coordinate with your unit heads and send nominations via them, whatever works for your unit.

Dear Unit Heads,

The new vision for the CALS Career Center is to become the national model for competency-based career and entrepreneurial leadership development among colleges of agriculture and life sciences.

To help support the pursuit of this vision, the Dean’s Leadership 50 (aka DL50) is being rebranded under the name of theDean’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Council (DELC). The DELC now aims to provide a select group of service leaders with opportunities to develop their entrepreneurial mindset through the creation and facilitation of peer led career and entrepreneurial development activities and programs for all CALS students.

We are currently recruiting new members to join the DELC in the Fall 2020 and need your help. Specifically, we would like to ask that each of you nominate one to two community-minded and leadership-oriented undergraduate students who you would like to represent your unit on the DELC. Eligibility is limited to students who have above a 3.0 cumulative gpa and who will not be completing their degrees before May 2021. We will also consider nominations of incoming freshman or transfer students who have yet to establish a gpa at the University, but have been identified by you or your team as having exceptional promise as both a student and leader.

To make the process as easy as possible for you, all we need by means of a nomination is the student’s name, email address, and one sentence why the student has been selected. From there, we will reach out to the student to facilitate to the application process.
