[Agvisors] CALS Student Date - An Update

Good morning -

In an effort to promote campus wide data sharing to assist students more rapidly and reduce survey fatigue, a strategy team was put together by the office of Assessment and Research. I was invited to participate and will be given access to institutional assessment data sets, as appropriate, as part of this work.

To start, Housing provided the data for their pre-arrival survey. It was a very brief survey and I am providing the counts in response to 2/3 questions below for CALS students living in dorms. The last question was an open ended question about what students were most looking forward to. Most of our students mentioned making or being with friends, a change of scenery, and having the college experience. Both of these questions have great insights for how to engage our students and what is on their minds.  A total of 320 CALS students responded to the pre-arrival survey.  Students completed the pre-arrival survey as they selected their move-in timeslot.
