Greetings,

Great news! We will have a representative from HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities) visiting campus next week. Her name is Erica Romero, Assistant Vice President for State Advocacy, and she is interested in speaking to our students, about the HACU National Internship Program and Scholarship Opportunities HACU has to offer, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 3pm, in the César E. Chávez Building Room 205. I have attached a flyer to share with your students and listserv.

The HACU National Internship is an all paid for internship, including a biweekly stipend, paid round-trip airfare, housing arrangement assistance, as well as professional development workshops, networking events, and cultural activities. Students can be placed in federal agencies in Washington, D.C. and field offices nationwide.

To apply for this opportunity students must:

∙ Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. Recent graduates are eligible for a limited number of internships

∙ Must have completed freshman year

∙ Must be an undergraduate or graduate student

∙ 3.0 GPA is recommended on a 4.0 scale

∙ Be authorized or eligible to work in the U.S.
