Dear SSRI Colleagues,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the summer term. I am writing on behalf of New Start with a very special request!

Next Wednesday and Thursday, July 17 - 18,  New Start will host our 27th annual Academic Conference! Every New Start student will present - that's over 100 presentations in two days!

We would love the support of SSRI staff by serving as a room judge<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSedh8tDu1bJCCyNGji_rrExM1J-nfYqvW3hTkxooE3Wo7TxeQ/viewform> for one or both days of the Academic Conference.  As a room judge, you will observe and score 3-4 sessions each presented by groups of 3-4 students. While you are providing feedback on their work, you will also be able to witness the brilliance of many New Start students who will likely engage in SSRI programs and services during the academic year!


What can you expect as a room judge?

  *   Be in sessions from 8:30am-1:00pm on Wednesday, July 17 or Thursday, July 18 (or both!).
  *   Score the sessions using a rating form developed by the Academic Conference committee.
  *   Learn a lot of great information as students tackle topics of their choosing based on this year's theme - Exploring Conversations in Research: Empowering and Transforming through Knowledge.
