Greetings Agvisors,

For your reference.

On a side many of the student preschedules do not have Math since they are appearing as closed as of now. We are hoping that seats will open up by 3pm today, so encourage students to consider enrolling in the math they placed into if they do not already have it.  It also seems that quite a few are borderline with the math placement<http://math.arizona.edu/academics/placement/courses> to take them to the next level based on the ACT or SAT score. With this said encourage them to consider taking the ALEKS test - as a suggestion.

Hello all!

Attached you will find a list June 27 orientation students (arranged by major) and their most up-to-date Writing Placement information. Remember, students only have a placement if they've completed the Foundations Writing Evaluation, an online procedure which guides them to select their own first-semester writing course. They have chosen these courses themselves; their writing placement is unrelated to GPA, SAT, or ACT scores.

We are sharing this resource because we've noticed that students' advising sheets are not always accurate. Please refer to the attached list if you are not sure of a student's Writing Placement status.

Please also share with advisors as you see fit!
