math they placed into if they do not already have it. It also seems that quite a few are borderline with the math
<a href="http://math.arizona.edu/academics/placement/courses">placement</a> to take them to the next level based on the ACT or SAT score. With this said encourage them to consider taking the ALEKS test – as a suggestion.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<b>Writing Placement information</b>. Remember, students only have a placement if they’ve completed the Foundations Writing Evaluation, an online procedure which guides them to
<i>select their own first-semester writing course.</i> They have chosen these courses themselves; their writing placement is unrelated to GPA, SAT, or ACT scores.<o:p></o:p></p>
