Good Morning,

Banner University Medical Center has been working hard on planning an informational session for University of Arizona students re: our Volunteer Internship Program, slated to pilot this fall. The “VIP” program will provide students with the breadth of understanding the hospital as a social setting, with a segue into a more specialized focus area based on their interest where they can have mentorship and networking opportunities. As an academic medicine unit, we have a responsibility to help educate our students about the types of careers they can have at the hospital (beyond the role of a physician). Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, PT/OT, Nutrition, Public Health, Social/Behavioral Health, Business/Administration, and more. Please see below for Information Session details, and feel free to forward to your respective list-serv. I also encourage staff to come, so please feel free to attend.
