[Agvisors] Fall 2018 New Student Orientations dates

Greetings Agvisors,

Below are the dates for the Fall 2018 new student orientations.  The first Freshman (FR) orientation is this weekend in Seattle of which Jim Hunt will be attending in representation of CALS.  One student (NUSC) is signed up and will follow up with the advisors after the session since no major selected students may change into a CALS majors the day of the session.   The student "schedule at a glance" for the orientation days will be sent electronically once available for the main campus sessions.

FR advising is scheduled to start at 2:30pm.  Preschedules will be sent to Agvisors by 2pm the day of each orientation.

Transfer (TR) students will be advised at 12pm and forward (to not go past 4:30pm - UA plan was to have 30 minute back to back appts. from 12pm-4:30pm). Preschedules are not available for TR students since they are all unique with their transfer units.  In reference to advising, CALS we will follow the same model we had last year which is similar to what the  UA has in mind.  The TR "schedule at a glance" will also be sent once available. Maria will coordinate specific times with agvisors for the TR sessions so students are referred appropriately, but in the meantime please schedule to start advising at 12pm on the TR dates.
