Greetings advising community!

In an effort to encourage professional development and meaningfully recognize the hard work advisors do across campus, the UPAC co-chairs and ARC would like to invite you to participate in a new initiative: “Active” UPAC Membership!

What’s in it for you?

·         Every advisor who meets the conditions for Active Membership will have a letter sent to their supervisor (plus a copy for the advisor) signed by Gail Burd’s office, noting their effort and achievement

·         Advisors who meet Active Membership will be entered into a raffle for great recognition items like travel grants, gift cards, and additional miscellaneous prizes at the end of the year advising celebration

How do you achieve Active Membership?

·         Attend 6 UPAC Meetings this academic year

·         Participate in 4 Professional Development Events this academic year. Examples Include:

o   Lunch & Learn Series & Other ARC Events

o   Academic Impressions Online Trainings

o   Other On-Campus Workshops, Seminars, Presentations

o   National or Regional Professional Conferences (i.e., NACADA)

o   Additional upcoming opportunities will be included in Advising Newsletters


 How is your participation documented?

·         Sign in at every UPAC meeting to document attendance
