My apologies, I forgot to add the exact location. Please see the update below. Thank you to those who responded already! We are excited to bring everyone together for our exploratory students.

CLAS will be hosting their 3rd annual...

Meet Your Advisor Mixer!
Thursday, October 5th
Bear Down Gym- CLAS Advising Center
4:30-5:30pm.

We would like to invite advisors from across campus to come mix and mingle with our students and help them become more familiar with UA majors. The event comes right after Meet Your Major Fair, so students can continue their exploration process with a smaller and more personal setting.

A majority of CLAS students are “No Major Selected” (NMS) and are exploring their options at UA. This is an opportunity for advisors to come meet with students outside the office in a more casual setting. We would love to have representation from colleges across campus, so students have a variety of advisors to meet and discuss majors. We will structure it very similar to how we hosted the event a couple years ago, where each department can bring resources and have an area setup in our lobby.

The main priority for this event is having advisors actively talking and interacting with the students. We will have high tables in the center of our lobby with light refreshments and snacks providing an inviting area to mix and mingle.

If you are interested in attending and representing your college or department, please let me know and I will add you to our list of attendees. Once we have a list of colleges and departments representing we will advertise them in our emails to students for this event.

Some common areas of interest for our NMS students are engineering, business, science, health related fields, and communication. We would love to have these departments present, as well as other major departments to highlight. We will go around and do a brief introduction of each representative at the beginning of the event.
