SAVE THE DATES!

September 18-24: Prepare for the Fair
Prepare for the Fair is a comprehensive week of workshops, activities, and meaningful contact with employers before Fall Career Days to help students hit the ground running.

Programming falls under three main themes: Plan, Polish, and Present for students in various stages of their career development. Throughout the week, students can polish their resume, perfect their elevator pitch, practice interviewing and meet select employers to get a jump-start on building their network.

The week includes the College Suit-Up Event with JCPenney on Sunday, September 24th from 6:30-10:00pm at the JCPenney El Con location (3501 E. Broadway Blvd.). Students who attend will receive a coupon for an extra 40% off their purchase of select career and dress apparel and shoes. They'll also have access to stylists and shopping helpers who can help them select outfits that are appropriate for the workplace and interviews.

We hope that you consider adding this week of activities to your fall curriculum and programming or encourage your students to attend so they are more than ready to put their hard work into action during Fall Career Days.

September 24-27: Fall Career Days
This year, Fall Career Days has divided into three different sessions to maximize opportunities for students to meet the right employers.

  *   September 25: Non-profit and Public Service Day, for students who want to work in education, government, and non-profit environments
  *   September 26: All Majors Day, featuring employers hiring students from all academic backgrounds
  *   September 27: STEM Day, ideal for students majoring in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields
