Greetings Agvisors:

See below for the instructions on COMM 119 (public speaking) enrollment for Fall 2016, if your degree requires it. 

Agvisors will need to submit a list with student names (and ID) to Nancy Kelly (nmkelly at email.arizona.edu) by April 4th (first priority date) and April 18 (for last minute requests). 

During open registration any remaining seats will open to all students, so encourage your students to follow up with you before the first deadline (4/4) as a priority. She is guaranteeing 60 seats (30 in each section) for CALS students as long as they are on either the 4/4 or 4/18 lists you will each send her.

Greetings Nancy,

So nice to speak with you. Per our discussion following is how we will work with CALS advisors to ensure that your students are registered for the two sections we set aside for them in fall 2016. Feel free to forward to your advisors so they can start notifying their students and gathering lists. 

1. All students must attend the mass lecture, Comm 119, 001 that meets Mondays only from 2-2:50. 

2. The two sections for CALS are Comm 119, 001C which meets 5-5:50 MW and Comm 119, 001E which meets on WF from 1-1:50. Please note we have "hidden" both sections from the schedule of classes so our (Comm) students can't see them but neither will your students be able to. 

3. Since I'm hand registering CALS students and I prefer not to have 60 different email :), I would appreciate a list as time lines aren't an issue. That said, I would appreciate the first list of students from your CALS advisors by April 4th. I will need a final list by April 18. I promise to have all the students you send me registered before priority registration ends. Also note that each section maximum is set at 30 students, so CALS gets 60 seats if needed.

4. Please know that once OPEN registration begins I will no longer register any students as we are opening all sections of Comm 119 and taking all prerequisites off so the course will be available to anyone.
