Have you taken a class from a FANTASTIC professor who deserves to have their awesomeness recognized across campus? Then consider nominating him or her for the Five Star Faculty Award.

The Five Star Faculty Award is the oldest student-nominated faculty award at the University of Arizona, having started in 1983. Even better, it’s the only award selected only by students! A student committee will review nominations and select five amazing professors as finalists for this award. These incredible teachers then take part in interviews to help the committee decide which one should receive this year’s prestigious award. The cherry on top? The four runners-up receive a prize of $250 each, and the winner will receive $1,000 and be recognized at the UA Awards of Excellence Ceremony in April 2016.

If you are interested in nominating one of your professors (past or present), please click on this link: http://bit.ly/1USZ23b (http://www.honors.arizona.edu/faculty-and-advisors/five-star-faculty-award-nomination)

Pre-Health Students CAN Study Abroad!

Please join us for the Pre-Health Study Abroad browse session. It can be hard to figure out how to complete all the requirements and co-curricular activities before you apply to health professional programs, but it is NOT impossible! You can combine clinical experience with study abroad, take classes toward a major or minor, learn about a different culture and grow as a person.

Here’s what Tanisha Price-Johnson, the Director of Admissions at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson says:

“As you prepare to apply to medical school, consider participating in a global health experience. These types of programs expose you to public health care, global health disparities, and provide hands-on experience working with diverse populations while building your medical knowledge.”
