After months of renovations the college is proud to unveil the new CALS Career Center and renovated ground floor of the 100-year-old Forbes Building – home to the CALS Center for Academic Programs, where students looking for help can find it quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
The intern in this role must have the desire to learn and willingness to work hard.
-Various CALS Majors
-Sophomore or higher
-2.5 GPA or higher
Experience: No experience necessary.
Other Relevant Qualifications: Tucson Village Farm is looking for interns who have the ability to work outdoors on an educational farm made for and by the youth of our community. While you don’t need any specific qualifications, applicants need the willingness to work hard on the farm and in the heat, be able to perform the daily chores that go along with arid land food production, have a desire to teach youth and adults about gardening and nutrition, and have an eagerness to learn and increase skills. Applicants must also have reliable transportation and the ability to get to Tucson Village Farm, which is located at the Pima County Cooperative Extension, at the Campus Agriculture Center on Campbell between Roger and River.
Description: We have two main positions, one that is focused on education and teaching youth gardening and nutrition and the other is actually working on an urban farm. While it is possible to do both, we are able to offer internships specifically for each area. The farm internship hours are somewhat flexible. Farm interns will learn and practice organic farming techniques, integrative pest management, weed management, harvesting and distribution, and many other skills that accompany small-scale arid lands food production. The educational programs are T-W-TH from 8-12. Education interns will teach youth ages K-12 our gardening and nutrition curriculum during our Growing Forward field trip program.
Compensation: While we currently don’t have funding to pay our interns, academic credit is possible and is determined by the home department. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA (http://arizona.us7.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=d02ce653ff78467d92a1ca720&id=3b11a1cf71&e=af2923c469) ) invites high school and undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in science to submit applications for the 2016 NIDA Summer Research Program. ·Interns work with NIDA funded scientists at research institutions across the United States for 8 weeks in the field of substance abuse and addiction research. Internships may involve a variety of experiences including laboratory experiments, data collection and analysis, patient interviews, literature reviews and more.
·Interns receive a stipend (high school $10/hr, undergraduates $12/hr), and if necessary and eligible, provisions for travel and housing expenses.
·Through this program, NIDA encourages the participation of high school and undergraduate students who are from racial/ethnic populations nationally underrepresented in the biomedical, behavioral, and clinical sciences, although students from any race/ethnicity may apply. Graduating 2016 college seniors are also eligible to apply.

Military Extension Internship Program
A partnership between the Cooperative Extension System and the Department of Defense has provided the funding for a national, military childcare/youth development internship program. Through this initiative, students and recent graduates have the opportunity to develop professional skills in childcare and youth development through practical work experience with military children, youth, and families.
Interns are placed on military installations across the United States with limited opportunities for international placement and receive an hourly wage or stipend and assistance with travel expenses for their efforts.
The last day the Military Extension Internship Program will be accepting applications for the Summer 2016 class is January 31, 2016. Pima County Cooperative Extension within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is seeking three on-call childcare providers.
The childcare providers lead activities for children ages 0-8 during workshops and programs in order for the parents to attend and focus on program content. Classes are held during the week – day or evening - and may be a part of a weekly series that meets 2-4 times. While settings vary throughout Pima County, our intent is always to offer a safe, secure, private, climate controlled location in which there are toys and books to entertain the children. Weekly hours will vary from 0-10 hours per week depending upon class schedule and provider availability.
Responsibilities include:
*Managing a group of 1-25 children aged 0-8 during 1.5 to 2 hour classes in order for the children’s parents to attend and focus on the program or workshop content.
*Utilizing supplies and activities provided or developing new age appropriate
activities to engage children and their learning.
*Feeding children during snack time and changing diapers as needed.
Pay is $8.50 per hour.

Seeking a highly motivated individual to serve
as a legal project assistant in the areas of business, land use, environmental and natural resources.
Experience in a law office environment is a plus, but not required. Knowledge and experience in
the mining and/or agriculture industry desired.
Responsibilities:
• Support an attorney in the Energy and Environmental group with various tasks associated
with a litigation and transactional based practice, which may include billing for services
performed on specific client projects.
• Work on various projects assigned including conducting legal and title research, drafting
and editing documents, interacting with regulatory agencies, reviewing plat maps,
surveys and legal descriptions.
Qualifications:
• Experience or background in business/corporate, environmental, natural resources, land
use or related a industry.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in a science based field of study.
• Corporate and real estate experience is a plus.
• Exceptional technical skills required including knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Strong organization, communication and client service skills.

Disney College Program Application ProcessStudents interested in the Disney College Program will follow the steps below.

* If the application is accepted, the student will receive an email with a link asking the student to take the Web-Based Interview. Please note, all applications are reviewed for candidates with a profile and experience that we believe will make them most successful on our Program.
* If the student is successful in the Web-Based Interview, the student will receive an email with an attached link asking them to register for a phone interview. This process allows the student to have the freedom to select the most optimal time in their schedule to participate in our phone interview.
* The phone interview is the last stage of the interview process. Remind your students to select a time that they can be in a quiet location and fully focus on their interview.
Students should periodically view their dashboard for updates concerning their application status. Please understand some students will be able to view Offers or Dispositions immediately, while others may take a couple of days or weeks. All students will have a form of communication on their dashboard.
