FSHD Group Advising Spring 2016

Hello FSHD pre-majors and majors!

FSHD advising would like to inform you about the following group advising sessions we are holding this spring 2016 semester. Group advising is a great opportunity for you to get important advising information that you and many of your fellow classmates have questions about each semester!

If you have questions about any of the following things, we encourage you to attend a group advising session this spring:


*         What general education, pre-major, and major requirements do I need to graduate?

*         How many units do I need to graduate?

*         How do I read my advisement report?

*         What is a thematic minor? What are the requirements and how can I declare a thematic minor?

*         What other minors are there on campus? How do I choose a minor?

*         Transfer coursework - What courses can I take at Pima? How can I study abroad? What if I want to take courses at a school outside of Arizona?

*         What is a Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO)? Am I eligible to do a GRO? How do I do one?

*         What if I want to withdraw from a class? What are the important deadlines I need to know?

*         What should I consider when creating my graduation plan?

These are all common questions we receive from FSHD students each semester. If you have time in your schedule and have questions about the above mentioned things (or any other questions not mentioned) please attend a group advising session this semester! We would love to see you and provide you with important, valuable information to aid your success in your time at the UA!

*We encourage you to bring a completed FSHD Catalog Checklist, a list of your questions, and a computer if possible
