Dear advisors,

The University of Arizona received funding in September from the Department of Education for a TRiO STEM program. We serve a minimum of 120 students each year. As we are a new program we are building our program participants. We need your help! Please help get the word out to students that could benefit from extra support and services.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students in a STEM related major to receive services throughout their entire education while at the University of Arizona. This grant includes health sciences, public health, nursing, and other health related majors as a STEM discipline.

TRiO ASEMS is a program that supports students in successfully completing a STEM major. We especially focus on students who are first in their family to attend college.

Services we provide:

*         STEM success class

*         Research Readiness class

*         Peer mentoring

* Personal and Academic Support and Advising

*         Learning coaches- Tutoring

* Financial aid and scholarship assistance

*         Career exploration

*         Graduate school Preparation

*         Research Opportunities

*         Faculty mentoring

*         Volunteer Opportunities

* Program activities to build community
