Hello Advisors,

Also at Monday's Faculty Senate meeting, Undergraduate Council's proposal to add Cambridge International Examinations as a Credit-by-Exam Option was approved (attached).  Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) are similar to the Advanced Placement Examinations, in that students take the CIE courses in high school in preparation for earning credit toward their college degree.  Credit depends on our department faculty evaluating the course work and subject exams, determining minimum scores for credit, and assigning UA course equivalencies.  Please forward this announcement to faculty in your departments, schools, and colleges, so they are aware of this new credit-by-exam program.

As a program for incoming freshmen, the CIE Policy page will be added to the 2015-16 Catalog when I receive the information from our Transfer & Articulation staff on which subject exams our faculty have evaluated for UA course credit.
