Subject: [UPAC] International Undergraduate Enrollment Policy-New Process
Effective Fall 2014
Effective September 2nd, an additional measure has been put in place to
prevent undergraduate international students from falling out of status.
Starting September 2nd, students will receive an error in UAccess if they
try to drop below 12 units. This modification does not prevent students from
swapping classes as long as they do not drop below 12 units.
As you may already know, undergraduate F-1 and J-1 international students
must register for and remain enrolled in 12 units each fall and spring
semester to maintain their immigration status. International students should
be instructed to meet with an advisor at ISS and fill out required paperwork
to determine if they meet an exemption

(click on Exemptions to Full-Time Enrollment tab) to Full-Time Enrollment or
want to discontinue their studies at UA.
If it is necessary to administratively drop a student from a course and the
student cannot swap courses, please contact Noelle Sallaz

assistance.
Thank you,
Noelle
