The deadline to submit curriculum updates for 2015-16 is December 15, 2014. The deadline encompasses changes for preschedules for New Student Orientation, Smart Planner, Degree Search, and Academic Advisement Reports.

Campus Community,

The time has come to request curriculum updates for the 2015-16 UA General Catalog . Please note a change this year as preschedule updates are included in the request as well.

The deadline to submit updates is December 15, 2014. The deadline encompasses changes for preschedules for New Student Orientation, Smart Planner, Degree Search, and Academic Advisement Reports.

The following practices are encouraged:
*         Academic units should begin discussions about curricular changes early so desired changes can be submitted to Curricular Affairs prior to the published deadline. Curricular update requests that involve changes to general education curriculum, new courses, changes in GPA, and new subplans require extra approval time.  Departments with such changes should contact the appropriate office or committee early in order to have these approvals completed in time.
*         Each academic unit should identify a curriculum contact person as the sole person responsible for corresponding with Curricular Affairs and UITS on curricular issues to avoid conflicting information and/or duplication of effort

Attached to this email you will find 4 documents in reference to the updates and the processes:

1)      Memo from Gail Burd and Kasey Urquidez requesting the updates and explaining the protocol

2)      Approval of Curriculum Updates Guide from the Curricular Affairs office

3)      Preschedule Update instructions

4)      Guide for Degree Requirement Updates
